What Google Ads lead generation is
Google Ads lead generation means running paid search campaigns whose goal is an enquiry, not a click. Someone types a service and a place, for example "fitted wardrobes Leeds" or "bathroom fitters near me", sees your ad, lands on a page built for that search and leaves their details.
Because the person is already searching, intent is higher than on social media. The trade-off is cost: clicks in competitive home improvement terms are priced by auction, so the account has to be built to waste as little as possible.
How we build a Google Ads lead account
We start from the jobs you want to win, not from a keyword list. Each service gets its own campaign or ad group, its own keywords and its own landing page, so the ad, the search and the page all say the same thing.
Negative keywords remove DIY, free, jobs and how-to searches before they cost you money. Location targeting matches the postcodes you cover. Conversion tracking (Google tag, GA4 and offline imports where possible) tells Google which clicks turned into enquiries, so bidding learns from real leads.
Search, Performance Max and remarketing
Search campaigns catch people actively looking for your service and are usually the core of a lead account. Performance Max can add Maps, YouTube and Display reach once conversion tracking is reliable. Remarketing reminds visitors who did not enquire the first time.
We add channels in that order, because a Performance Max campaign without clean conversion data tends to spend on low-quality placements.
A real UK Google Ads result
A UK fitted-bedroom client recorded 1.01K clicks, 14.1K impressions and 13 conversions for £3.13K cost over the account lifetime to Q4 2026. Derived from those figures, that is a click-through rate of about 7.2% and about £241 per conversion.
The account screenshot is on our results page, and we can walk through the live account on a call.
Google Ads or Meta Ads?
Google captures demand that already exists; Meta creates demand from homeowners who have not searched yet. Many of our UK home improvement clients use Meta as the main lead source and Google for high-intent searches. We recommend the mix on the free call once we know your trade, area and budget.
Pricing and commitment
Pricing: pay per lead is £5 per lead plus your own ad spend, with no minimum fee, so you choose how much to spend. Meta Ads management starts from £499 a month. Full-service is 25% of ad spend with a £2,000 minimum monthly ad budget and a £499 minimum fee. Ad spend is always paid by you directly to Meta or Google.
Our commitment: we guarantee 50+ qualified leads every month. If we deliver fewer in any month, we work for free for the next 30 days. Within your first two months you will also have booked appointments and jobs won from those leads. If not, we work free for a further 30 days. Full terms are on our guarantee terms page.
